Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my AC leaking water?
The most common cause is a clogged condensate drain line — as your AC pulls humidity out of the air, that moisture collects in a drain pan and flows out through a small line that can clog with dirt, dust, and algae over time. With how hard Texas summers work your system, that line sees a lot of moisture and can back up faster than in milder climates. A dirty air filter or a cracked drain pan can cause the same thing. If you’re seeing water, turn the system off and give us a call — the fix is usually quick, but ignoring it can mean real water damage.
How often should I service my AC unit?
We recommend a professional tune-up at least once a year, ideally in spring before the Texas heat kicks in. If your system runs nearly non-stop through our long cooling season, or you’ve got an older unit, twice a year (spring and fall) is worth it — it catches small issues before they turn into a breakdown on the hottest day of the year, keeps your energy bills in check, and extends the life of the system.
Do you offer emergency AC repair?
Yes. We send technicians out after hours and at weekends — this isn’t a service that takes your details and calls you back on Monday. Your call is answered 24/7, so you won’t get a voicemail box at two in the morning, and our live phone lines are staffed 7:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Friday and 8:00am to 2:00pm Saturday and Sunday. An after-hours service call is $179 rather than the $99 business-hours rate. Call us at (682) 268-4077 and we’ll tell you the soonest we can get someone to you.
How much does a service call cost?
A service call is $99 during business hours and $179 after hours. That covers a technician coming out, diagnosing the problem and giving you a firm price before any work starts. On repairs over $500, we put that service call fee toward the cost of the repair.
What areas do you serve?
About 50 miles from our Haltom City office — exact coverage can flex a bit depending on scheduling, so give us a call to confirm your address.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
Yes, on both new installations and repairs. On a new system, the equipment carries the manufacturer’s parts warranty — usually 10 to 12 years depending on the brand and model, as long as you register the unit once it’s installed. Registration matters; plenty of homeowners skip it and lose the coverage. We back our own installation work with a one-year labour warranty on workmanship. On repairs, when we replace a component we cover that part and the labour to fit it for a year. Two things fall outside that: smaller wear items such as capacitors, and any work involving refrigerant. Your technician will tell you which applies before you approve the job, so you know where you stand before we start.
